looked as though tippet got demoted part way through last game which is fine i havent seen him do much anyway. Huberdeau is still bhind this season seems to be fumbling the puck a bunch. He will get it together though im sure

Think Tippett was sent to the taxi squad yesterday. Driedger is starting tonight.

Nutivaara takes Tippets roster spot, and makes Panther debut against his former team. I heard Q’s gonna go with seven D tonight. Yandle used on PP only, perhaps?
Panthers better bring it again. Columbus will be ready to go tonight, here’s Torts talking about their last game, https://twitter.com/Craig...eday-caterwaul-game-4-nhl

I don’t know about Tippett, guys...I mentioned last year that it felt like the Cats sort of stopped beating the Tippett drums a while back and fell quiet after building him up numerous times over the years.

I thought he was going to be explosive in the beginning here and carve a spot for himself - and he still can if he gets another shot - but I wonder if he’ll end up more of a “bubble guy” that floats back and forth between the AHL and NHL. Or, maybe he ends up just being a solid AHLer and can’t make that jump to the NHL.

I’m just not sure. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Tippet has been basically invisible. I often see him floating around, and not pumping his legs. Huberdeau has been good, but last game was a tough one for him- they were all over him, forcing him to make bad plays to linemates he's not familiar with yet. He'll be fine, but lines 2-3 have got to be better

I imagine Q was definitely not impressed with the careless high sticking double minor he took last game. Tippett hasn’t been noticeably bad otherwise, and he is on a line with another rookie and Vatrano. Not the end of the world to sit him a game or two.
Not to mention Q wants to get Nutivaara in, the organIzation is still tap dancing around Yandle’s streak, Tippett doesn’t need to clear waivers to get sent to taxi squad. That could be a factor in this decision.

Talk is cheap regards to Yandle. All talk before the season. Another example of a pitiful organization. Screw the streak

Awful awful powerplay. Uuugggghhhhh. Duclair shot about 8 feet wide. He probably should have taken a long contract anywhere that was offering

Play a guy that underperforms in a key area, but helps out in a limited capacity (the PP) in order to keep a streak alive?

-OR-

Sit or trade (if you can) a guy, effectively ending his streak, for someone who you believe gives you a better look on the blue line?

The Cats should know which one to do.

Surprising to see Vatrano go before Barkov, especially when a goal there ends the game. Don’t know what you’re talking about as far as Duclair, though. He’s been good. 3 of Verhaeghe’s 4 goals have been the result of Duclair taking the puck strong to the net.
